September Newsletter

September Newsletter

From David Baril, Your Golf Professional

September is a wonderful month for golf,  the weather is cooling off and we still have long days and great course conditions.

Our Coal Creek Golf Leagues are winding down and you can view the results of our Men’s and Women’s Championship weekend. The Tuesday Night League will play their Championship September 5th and they have added a little extra friendly competition to make things more interesting (see below).

Please note we will be aerating the greens on September 5th and 6th and appreciate your understanding during this short-term preventative maintenance disruption that is necessary for long-term prime green conditions. In addition to giving you an excuse to use for any missed puts we have special rates until the greens are recovered, which will be by the middle of the month.

Finally, the high school boys golf season is in full swing and we will be hosting several tournaments here at Coal Creek including the Northern Regional Tournament. Good luck to our Monarch players! Oh, and if you don't happen to know what the easiest shot in golf is, scroll down and learn now. Your golfing friends and opponents are always eager to have you share this fun fact with them before they hit this shot. Enjoy!

Challenge Accepted!

The Pros VS. The TNL Champions

Coal Creek's Head Pro, David Baril, and First Assistant, Jed Udall have accepted the challenge to play the champions of the TNL (Tuesday Night League) in a 9-hole match play round. David and Jed's opponents will be determined on Tuesday, September 5th during League Championships. Winners will then face off against the Coal Creek Pros in an A/A, B/B and AB/AB net score format. This should get interesting so stay tuned for the date of this big competition!

Congratulations to our League Champions!

We almost headed to a playoff during the CCWGA championships!  A single stroke separated the second and third players from our new Women's League Champion, Paige Rodriguez! And for the CCMGA, Nick Pederson took first place Gross in our Men's LeagueChampionship flight. Great golfing out there! See all Results
