Head Golf Professional
Book a Lesson >
David Baril comes to us from the Midwest where he has served as General Manager, Director of Golf, and Head Golf Professional in Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin. He is a 45-year PGA professional and an expert instructor, club fitter, and club builder. A good instructor offers clarity, direction, and an ability to communicate their knowledge to the golfer in terms that the golfer understands. Golf is a simple game made complicated by the fact that the majority of golfers work too hard mentally and physically to produce an unrealistic result. While I have instructed national champions, state champions, college golfers, and club champions, my most rewarding achievements in golf instruction are the hundreds of regular golfers whose faces light up when they learn that golf can be simple and fun. If there is a method to my instruction it is based upon a complete evaluation of your goals, your skills, your flexibility, and your golf equipment. Typically half of those criteria are not synchronized. I look forward to meeting you and aligning your wants and needs with the tools you already possess.

Mark Jensen
1st Assistant Golf Professional

My objective in teaching the game of golf is to help my students improve their skills and develop their abilities. I feel that teaching the entire game is the key to improving scores. At the end of the day that is what students want: to improve their scores. I try and give most lessons on the course and in the short game area. The student will know and have an understanding of what will occur during the session. To quote the great Ben Hogan, “Don’t simply tell a player what he is doing wrong – that’s not much help. You must explain to them what they ought to be doing, why it is correct, and the results it produces.” Each student is unique and the methods I use fits the student’s area of learning. Again making sure that the objectives of each player are met. We have a goal to reach their objectives and help them enjoy the game better. Grip, stance, posture and aim are stressed along with tempo. Great tempo produces solid shots. All instruction is tailored to the player’s personal goals, physical abilities/limitations, and knowledge of the game. “I don’t simply teach you how to hit a golf ball. I coach you on how to play the game of golf.”

Here is what Pablo’s students have said about working with him: "It was immediate to me that his knowledge and friendliness with no intimidation style coaching was what I was looking for. His great enthusiasm for the game definitely shows in his teaching. I highly recommend Pablo as an instructor for anyone, and any level of golfer." Brian A. “When I met Pablo he spoke a language that related to me. He coached from the heart. He taught from experience and knew how to meter information – that created an unbelievable teaching experience. I knew early on I could trust him and have a banter that would allow for my instructions to be bespoke to my needs…" Erik P. “I decided I wanted a new driver and with so many choices out there I sought out Pablo's help to get me fitted into the right driver. First, we analyzed grip and stance, then looked at ball spin rates. Pablo helped me understand the information in a sim and within 45 minutes I was adding 35 yards to my drive. Pablo put the numbers in simple terms for me and felt like the new grip and stance really helped my game. Driver is on order, looking to add more distance.” - Doug
